Begin the Peace Protocols Journey

Mission: End resource slavery, regenerate communities, and restore sovereignty

Method: The 19-step Sovereign Peace Protocols framework

Goal: Full sovereignty restoration for the Kingdom of Hawaiʻi by 2030

300-1778 CE
Ancient Hawaiian Civilization
For over 1,400 years, Native Hawaiians developed a sophisticated society with complex governance, sustainable agriculture through the ahupuaʻa system, and deep spiritual connection to the ʻāina. The islands were unified under Kamehameha I, establishing the Kingdom of Hawaiʻi as a sovereign nation.
1810-1893
The Kingdom of Hawaiʻi
The Kingdom of Hawaiʻi was internationally recognized, maintaining diplomatic relations with major world powers. Treaties were signed with the United States, Britain, France, and other nations. The Kingdom had its own constitution, currency, postal system, and was a member of the international community.
January 17, 1893
The Illegal Overthrow
Queen Liliʻuokalani was forced to yield power under threat of U.S. Marines and Minister John L. Stevens. The Queen stated: "I yielded not to the usurpers, but to the superior force of the United States of America." President Cleveland's investigation confirmed U.S. involvement and declared the overthrow illegal.
1895
Coerced "Abdication"
After a failed royalist uprising, Queen Liliʻuokalani was imprisoned in ʻIolani Palace. Facing death penalties for her supporters, she was coerced into signing an "abdication" document as "Liliuokalani Dominis" (her married name, not her regnal title). This act was under duress and cannot be considered a legitimate abdication.
1898
Illegal Annexation
The United States annexed Hawaiʻi through a Congressional joint resolution (Newlands Resolution), not a ratified treaty. This violated international law and the sovereignty of the Hawaiian Kingdom, as acknowledged by the 1993 U.S. Congressional Apology Resolution.
1993
U.S. Congressional Apology
One hundred years after the overthrow, the U.S. Congress issued the Apology Resolution, acknowledging that the overthrow was illegal, that Native Hawaiian sovereignty was suppressed, and that reconciliation was owed to the Native Hawaiian people.

2030
Full Sovereignty Restoration
The Kingdom of Hawaiʻi achieves full sovereignty restoration through the Peace Protocols pathway. The lāhui governs itself according to Hawaiian values and traditions, while maintaining peaceful relationships with all nations. Sovereignty that was suppressed, never extinguished, is fully restored.
Achieved Outcomes:
  • Self-governing Hawaiian nation recognized internationally
  • Sustainable ahupuaʻa-based economy
  • Thriving ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi and cultural practices
  • Regenerated ʻāina and healthy communities
  • Peaceful coexistence with all peoples
